I don't want to add to your pain but as it's bank holiday Monday your benefit should have been in your account yesterday so it looks like they haven't paid that either.

Dont see how they could have sent my benefit to the wrong place--they,d paid me previous to this month and got it right. There's no excuse.it's grossly incompetent to leave the most vulnerable without the benefits which they are legally entitled to. I'm going to ask for some answers !!from the top.B****r the middlemen with their excuses and no reasons.

This has happened with my partner's IS a couple of times in the past, but since I check the bank almost daily, I usually catch the error straight away. The office staff usually sort it out over the phone, and may send a giro for the missing payments, which you'll have to cash at a specified post office.

I think it usually happens when they re-jig the payment dates, and unfortunately some people's accounts fall out of the net, but they have always fixed it quickly for us in the past.

I'm afraid I can't advise on whether they will pay your overdraft charges though. You could ask, while you're on the phone to them, and if they won't or they don't know, you could get in touch with the CAB to get further advice on where you stand.

    Good luck. :)

It's unusual for a few lots not to go into account, could be problems with bank account, this has happened where computer pays and then doesn't recognise account no as digits incorrect. However are you sure you haven't got some sort of disallowance(sanction) as this sounds more likely.

Anyway if it is JSA !!!!-up on their part, take copy of charges on overdraft etc with letter and ask them to pay, people have been successful at claiming charges back where i work.

if you can prove that you have given the correct account details( this can be done if they send for your records from the hanger-this is where all records are kept of your letters claims etc and copies of theirs to you ) you will be able to get any charges that were due to your money not going in in time - this obsolusty means only charges that occur if overdrawn when payment where due into your account at that time... this does take time to e refunded as it has to go to a special decison maker who will make this decison based on the info given by yourself and the bank which you will have to provide -if you don't agree with this decison you can appeal

You would probably qualify for a crisis loan from the DSS if you're desperate. When they give you an amount to pay back each fortnight, appeal it and they always reduce it:
