woohoo i got my xp back:T i had to download the xp theme again, but want to try and find out why it changed on is own , so first thing tomorrow ill run my antivirus, spybot etc.Lots of good info for me to read in that link Stompa many thanks to yourself and TonylisaP:beer:0

One I would have suggested - And I'll put in case anyone searches for this in the future -

In Control Panel click System (Sometimes under Performance and Maintenance)
Under the Advanced tab there is a Performance section. Click Settings
Then you see a lot of tick boxes where you can switch various bits of the interface on or off. There's also a setting "Adjust for best performance". If that is selected all of the tick boxes get de-selected then you get a very basic look (even more basic than classic).0
