Contract, where do i stand?
I cancelled my Three 12 month contract a couple of weeks after the 12 months was up, on the 19 of Feb. Myself and their agent discussed transferring the contract to a friend, with phone upgrade etc, but in the end i chose to end it. i was to give 30 days notice before disconnection.
I am still getting billed though i haven't used the phone. when i spoke to Three they said i had agreed to transfer the contract even though i did not, and gave no name of a person to transfer it to. In the end they said they will bill me for another 30 days and then the contract will cease. I said i would cancel the direct debit. Where do i stand legally here?
Thamks, anyone help?

Cancelling the dd has no legal implication.
It just means they cannot take any money out of your account.
You need to dispute the invoices you have received, get them cancelled and get them to refund any money they have wrongly taken since you cancelled.
Just stopping the dd will mean them adding their charges to your account (they charge extra if you don't pay by dd), and chasing you for the money they feel you owe them. This will escalate if you don't resolve it.0 -
Thanks, i have disputed this (by phone) but they still insist i kept the contract open. i clearly remember that i said i wanted to close the contract. Any more advice?0

You need to put the dispute in writing.
State the facts and insist your contract was cancelled. Ask for the invoices to be cancelled, and any money taken to be refunded.
Depending on the response, you may want to go down the legal route to get your money refunded. (LBA then MCOL)0
