mollytrundle wrote:i have just spoken to customer services about honouring prices on the internet (i didn`t mention the tv) but they asked if i was enquiring about the tv and said they wouldn`t be honouring this price and all orders would be charged at full price!!!!!!!
so i have just cancelled my order as i can`t afford to be charged full price even if i send it back...
SO BEWARE THEY WILL NOT HONOUR THIS PRICE
I tried.. telly on its deathbed! Didnt think they would honour it. Thankyou for sharing the info though!!0 -
Remember the TFT monitor mis price?
£41 instead of £149.
I ordered it with next day delivery and it duly arrived early next morning to be followed 2 hours later by a call from customer services trying to cancel the order.Too late sez I.
The cards are stacked against us this time, but good fun ordering.
QUOTE=biglugs]I'm sorry I have to disagree! We've had experience of Argos before and there is a 100.000000% certainty that they won't sell at this price!
What they will have is a lot of staff busy cancelling orders today and tomorrow though - especially those where people ordered 100 as I'm sure they will have.
Has anyone called them up yet to check whether 49p is the correct price[/QUOTE]

I've been on the side of the "they'll never honour it" so many times and seen people get the odd one go through that I've jumped over the fence. If you go in for 10 of these things and only 1 comes off, what have you lost?? (That and the fact that I could really do with a new TV right now!)

Here we go again.
ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE!!
Argos DO NOT honour their mistakes - EVER!!
And you give all of your credit card details for nothing.

I don't think they will charge you the full price and send the item. If it happens in that case, you just need to show your bank the proofs of the price (screen capture & confirmation email), and I think the bank will charge them back.0

When I went through to order this, it showed up as IN STOCK.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
