echeque not cleared and buyer wants me to post

Just to add my 'no' to the thread.
I do sometimes ship early for really cheap items where buyer has good feedback, but very rarely and I certainly wouldn't be doing it for vouchers. In fact with 29 feedback I probably wouldn't even do it for a £5 item as they are really still new to ebay.
Ask them to cancel the echeque and pay via bank transfer and send them a cut and paste of the echeque notification that tells you, the seller, not to post until echeque clears.
Incidentally they appear to be taking about 13 days to clear at the moment, so a bank transfer would probably be easier for the buyer. Still send the vouchers special delivery though in case of loss en route.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Man In Pub: I've got a beautiful diamond ring in the van. Yours for £150 if you give me the money now and I'll go get it.
Buyer: Cool! Ok (hands over £150)
Man In Pub: Leaves pub, never to be seen again.
Would you do that? It's effectively the same thing, because sending before clearance means the buyer can cancel and you're high and dry. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I hate it when people pay by e-cheque! BUT its THEIR choice and so I always email them straight away and say paypal have estimated the date of clearance of your e-cheque to be ...... and I will post the item asap after that, if you require it sooner please cancel the e-cheque and make an instant payment!0

I've had e-cheques blocked since before Christmas, and this highlights the reason why.
Even when I forwarded them the paypal email saying not to send until it had cleared, this still only stated 4 days, and buyers still did not understand why e-cheque had been used.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
no dont sent the goods till the echeque has cleared
and If they wanted to item right now why did they pay with a echeque?that can take around 10 days to clear?0 -
According to Elton from ebay, being able to block echeques through ebay was a temporary glitch, and that they can't be blocked anymore. My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
They are saying they can't cancel the echeque aaargh this is more hassle than it is wotth0
-
just go to the payment in paypal and cancel it / refund it back to them. Then they can pay with a card or something!0

If you have an item listed with immediate payment required would a buyer be able to buy now using an echeque?0
