DD's school sent home a letter yesterday saying "these classes are NOT to attend on the 24th but these classes ARE. We're sorry but for health & safety reasons this is the best we can do to keep the school running normally"
DD is in a class that WILL be in school though so I don't mind :rotfl::rotfl:
I have DS3 at home all day, DD2 there in the morning, Tiddles there in the morning and DD3 and DD4 there all day.. totally ludicrous!! How primitive is a strike?? honestly.. has the power of speech and the art of conversation deserted these people?

Lovely flat SSL, South Clerk street never looks like that though! I think someone has been using photoshop:rotfl: Its not the nicest street ever
Really noisy, dirty and studenty. If you could transport that flat somewhere else it would be nicer.

Please may I play too? This is round the corner from me, and is a new build version of our stone built house. Grossly over priced - and you would have to replace the kitchen.
On that basis we should get our backsides in gear, spend £10k putting a real kitchen and bathroom in this place and get it on the market for a swift £250k profit.
Tia - Not sure how helpful this is but we trebled our mortage and stretched to the limit to buy this place because of its potential. Not a lot of money left for the refurbishments, and not a lot of time for DH to do the works as he works long hard hours. I regret nothing but it is sometimes very difficult when the family want to do things and as the person who balances the books I have to be the one who says No. Benefit of hindsight I would have got DH to look at the figures as well to make sure he understood the sacrifices he would have to make too.
Cleaning - upstairs is done and part of downstairs. All bedding changed, DW on, WM on.
Diet - I have eaten an entire packet of chocolate caramelised nuts and feel really, really sick. and very very guilty.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
