No thanks
Do you want to see my 2 Ipods? Showing the doesnt prove a thing that you got them for free. I paid for ours.0 -
Ipods are over-rated sheep fashion fodder anyway, in my opinion - isn't it the case that once the battery dies you have to buy a new iPod ?
I've reverted to MiniDisc - got a lovely player/recorder which runs off 1GB discs for £60 on eBay a couple of weeks back : forgot how good MD sounds0 -

Ummm I have the email confirming that I had managed to get enough referrals and had ordered my free ipod - including headers so you could check where it was sent from? Or I could save you the webpage with the details of the shipment from them (including the Royal Mail tracking ref so you could confirm with them)?
Good for you buying two - but I thought this website was tips for saving money? Found better software to manage them than Itunes yet? That would be a tip!0 -
Rex_Mundi wrote:What you are describing is a pyramid scheme. These are also banned on this website. If this scheme is OK. How come Alienware themselves warned me that this is a scam?
I reported you for breaking the site rules. Not for anything else. These type of posts are banned from this site and links to these sites are not allowed.
Ahhh I see, because Alienware warned you off (ie told you that if you wanted one of their laptops you should buy it from them) it must be a scam? If you are in corrospondance with them perhaps you could ask why as they are owned by Dell their laptops should be twice the price as Dell's? And why if they are trying so very hard to investigate this they haven't demanded that ICANN don't simply take the domain off them? Or why don't Apple do the same - hey they even manged to take itunes.co.uk off a guy who registered it before they developed the Ipod!
If you want to prove that this is a pyramid scheme then get some people who have lost money or feel cheated by the service these websites advertise to post here. Or show me a letter from Trading Standards saying they are investigating these offers.
Levis didn't like Tesco's saving customers money by buying their jeans from European Suppliers rather than 'Official' UK distributors so are Tesco scamming you when they sell 501's for £20?
How about the bbc - do you believe that?

The internet is a market place and it gives access to a huge number of potential customers. Do you see the adverts when you surf? Don't you ever wonder how sites can afford to pay a webmaster and writers? Theres a whole world full of businesses vying for your cash so what if it costs them an ipod or laptop? You could be good for 30 maybe 40 years worth of business to the right website.
If the rules of this site don't allow me to say that then I'll go play with me pod0 -

that bbc article that is so readily repeated does not refer to either of these scams but to a company called GRATIS...maybe that did work for a while as it was the first ....but all of these are pyramid schemes as Rex states
if it worked so well why do we get so may isiots spamming forum's like this and newsgroups trying to get one ?
work out the maths
1 person need 5 referrals so =5, those 5 need 5 so =25, those 25 need 5 so = 125, 125+5 = 625, 625 x 5 = 3125 , 3125 x 5 = 15625 , then 78125 , then 390625, then 1953125
in 9 steps you are looking at MILLIONS of new people signing up
IT CAN'T WORK !!Ex forum ambassador

Agreed - the only winners are those lucky enough to be in at the start. Everyone else seemingly has MUG tattooed on their foreheads0

Just to clarify, we don't allow MLM/pyramid scheme links on the site. Even if this scheme was valid, links would be removed.

aaahhhh I do love maths you see here's where you prove my point and at the same time prove that it isnt a pyramid or multilevel marketing scam - because as you prove there are actually no levels! Pyramid schemes work by the person signing up not only having to sign up others but not actually profiting from the scheme until those new people signing up even more. In these models you only ever need to sign up five people - what you are suggesting is that a person at level nine needs to get 1,953,125 people signed up to get the ipod. Which is blatantly not the case. As for your inference that they might have worked at the start but can't possibly be working now I received my ipod (from freepay) last week.
And the reason that there are so many idiots posting about this (some of us can even spell the word!) is that theres a load of cynical people out there who don't believe it can work. I manage to get 40 people registered but only 6 completed the offer. And even if all of them did sign up I would only ever get one ipod. MLMs and Pyramids give you greater rewards the more people sign up.0 -
Regardless of your views on these type of schemes. They are not allowed to be posted anywhere on this site. I think the controllers post was pretty clear on this. I'm pretty certain that efforts to mention these sites without including a link to them would also be looked down upon.
