Mattress Advice

I think it can depend on the distance between the slats. If they're too far apart you can add more oryou can put peg board (not solid) on top of the slats.
Hey, it looks like someone is taking notice of my advice:j
Yes you are right, it does depend on the distance between the slats. For a pocket sprung mattress the maximum gap is 1" because the springs will try to push down between the slats and get damaged. However if it is a two sided pocket sprung/memory foam mattress, then you can go up to a maximum of 3" gaps because the memory foam on the bottom spreads the weight out.0 -

1.Is there any combination of memory foam with open sprung available & if so,are they any better than simple open coil?
Yes you can get open coil sprung/memory foam mattresses, and yes they are better than open coil sprung only because the memory foam contours to your body (open coil springs don't).2.Can anyone please recommend that which company should i go for?
I can't answer this as I sell beds and it would be advertising.3.is there any difference between cage spring & open coil?
No, they are the same thing
[/quote]4.should i go for single coil or double coil?
Double is better than single, but open coil with memory foam will give you better support.0 -
I bought a memory foam mattress 18months ago and put it on a slatted bed. Since buying it I've been sleeping better than ever before, it took a few days to get used to in the beginning but I can't see that I'll ever get any other type of mattress in the future.0
