Orchid dialler question: country codes
Options
Hi all
As I have children in Canada & Australia I have found the Orchid dialler very useful and routed all my "OO" calls through 18866.
However as the !8866 rates have just changed I want my Canada/001 calls to route thro' 1899 ( 3p connection .5p a minute ) and my Australian/0061 calls to remain with 1866 ( 1p connection, 2ppm ) until rates change again.
Is there a way of telling the Orchid to route 001codes to 1899 and 0061 codes to 18866 ?
thanks
Martin

Looking at the website,
the V2 model can only reroute through a single carrier
but
the V4 model can:# Route up to 9 different carriers, giving you the flexibilty of using 'pick and mix' routing
# Routes All major alternative carriers (18866, 1899, 1263 etc)
...
# Create rules for International Destinations, Mobile calls

How you do this should be in the user manual, I'd guess...!
(A simpler solution may just be to program a speed-dial on your telephone(s) for each Canadian number with the appropriate prefix before the Canadian number e.g. 1899001xxxxxxxxx. Seeing that the number doesn't start with an "00" international code, it shouldn't trigger the Orchid dialler to add the 18866 prefix code. Australian numbers can be routed as usual through 18866.)"...And I gave that man directions, even though I didn't know the way, 'cause that's the kind of guy I am this week." -- Homer Simpson0 -

Both Telesavers and Ratebuster are available as Carrier selections on the Orchid server to add to your V4 dialler routing table, so it's easy to configure to take advantage of the 1p/min calls to Australia.
The server doesn't yet list Cheapest Calls as a Carrier but I'll e-mail Orchid to add it.
