Sorry if this has been posted (haven't seen it) and sorry if this is the wrong forum but this is a sim card, sim is free but u have 2 buy £5 credit and once that is done you get an additional £5 credit FREE and if ordered before 4p.m. on a working day you will get next day delivery from Royal Mail (The wonderful post service on behalf on Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II) and I believe this is owned by Stelios i.e. another branch off easyjet only on phones. Calls are 15p per minute and texts are only 5p each!!!!!! Might be hard tot top-up =[ but deffinately worth it just to use the £10!

In addition to the initial £10 call credit, you can also get £5 credit for each customer you recommend. Under EasyMobile's Recommend a Friend scheme, you will be given a £5 bonus on your account each time a friend, family member or colleague joins easyMobile.com on your recommendation. All they have to do is quote your easyMobile.com mobile phone number when asked for.

You can also get £5 cashback for signing up to EasyMobile via Rpoints. Details in the Referrers' Board here.
  • If you get a Tesco sim you can nominate three numbers and you can call these for half there normal price which is 20p/min, so these three number you call would be 10p/min.

I’m not sure but when I last read up easyMoble’s Ts & Cs I think that if you don’t use your credit in say a month, they have a small penalty. You might want to check this out for yourself.

    This is from the T&Cs:
In the event that your usage is below £5.00 over any given 3 month period (i.e. if your actual usage in the months April, May and June is £4.99) we will charge you a fee of 75p per month which will be deducted from your account balance. We do this to ensure that accounts that are not used will eventually close. This is in line with our commitment to all of our customers by keeping costs to a minimum and for the full advantage to customers that actively use our service.
Use a cashback site and the £10 credit is effectively free (the £5 cashback will cancel out the £5 initial payment). Once you've used up that credit (and any you get free from the refer-a-friend scheme), I imagine you can just forget about the original SIM and start again, perhaps in the name of another member of the family (which you should recommend first for the £5 credit).

The Tesco " value" sim gives the same rates as easymobile ( 15p per min any network and 5p per text). But Tesco impose no penaltys for low useage. Plus its easier to top up.
Tesco give £10 credit for £5 when you buy the sim ( which is half price at £1.74)

Hi, yes easymobile do have a small penalty charge for low usage which did concern me and yet my son has spent less than £5 in over 4 months and has not incurred this penalty. Maybe he has just been lucky or maybe they are not enforcing it...

However, where easymobile surpass tesco is in the fact that they charge per second with no minimum charge whereas tesco have a minimum charge of 5p. It all adds up if you are directed to voicemails. Plus tesco value can not be used abroad.
  • Mand, the smallest amount I have used on Tesco Mobile is only 3p. I’m guessing from what you are saying is, you have, or he has, turned off his voicemail.

You could get a regular Tesco sim which is what I have and nominate 3 numbers for ½ price – scroll down there home page and click on the international calls box for more info. There overseas tariffs however, are a bit pricey. _pale_

There is nothing to stop you nominating one of the 020 access numbers on 1899/18866 as your best friend and using that to access cheap intl calls.

Hi I've seen easy moblie's promotion for 5p texting and 15p talktime, and wondered if the offer was as good as it looks. I only really text and only use the phone for talk now and then,

Basically I wondered if there was any time limit for this offer as there a while ago. Before I port my number over just thought I see if anyone else has any views?

Easy mobile have a 75p "charge" (read "fine") if you don't use the phone for £5 worth of calls/texts in a 3 month period. If you wouldn't use this much, bear this in mind.

Tesco also do a very good mobile deal without the charge (the sim will stay active as long as you make a call every 6 months!). http://www.tescomobile.com/

Calls cost the same amount too and there is an offer on your first £5 top-up (get £10 for £5)
