maypole your not abnormal, i don't really want one but the new house we're buying has a on off swith for the socket that the dishwasher goes into, and it states dishwasher on it, so i thought it how can i have a on off switch for a dishwasher that i don't have, it would just be wrong!! perhaps i'm the abnormal one!

oooh i love my dishwasher only got it about 2 motnhs ago and couldn't be without it now, having 2 kids and 1 OH that hate washing up its a god-send to me and means i have more time to do other stuff then mountins of washing up every night.
Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts

Only two of us but I fully agree :) Life is too short to do dishes. And it's a handy hidey hold for dishes that aren't done rather than having them lying around the kitchen :)

I know what you mean! I tend to think that we haven't had a DW for very long but now I come to think about it we've had one for 6 years now (got it when I was pregnant with DD2)

When we went on holiday there was no dishwasher and my children were horrified - they had no idea how else things would get cleaned! maybe I need to invest in that "making your daughters into homemakers" book that someone posted about
    weaving through the chaos...
