I am currently looking for a one bed flat for use as a holiday retreat (not btl, just personal use), and I am frustrated that none of the EAs seem to give details of service charges, ground rent, lease length etc. As these are crucial considerations, given that we won't be using the flat as our primary home, it is annoying to have to keep asking for these details. Also those who are supposedly contactable via their website never seem to bother to reply  .

Sorry to go off topic, but just saying that it is as frustrating for the purchaser as it it the seller sometimes :(.

you are so right, im looking for a flat at the moment and im sick of not knowing these details

Have you asked to see the HIP relating to the property, assuming there is one. All the information should be in there, if the HIP has been completed.

im just scanning on right move at the mo as im getting my flat redecorated and cleaned up before i put it on the market, so havent been asking for details but i get annoyed that they are not clearly stated on the details. i know that when i come to sell mine in about a month, i am going to put all these details on the advert page. a lot of the flats ive seen havent got hips because they've been on the market for so long, not a problem for me, makes it easier to make an offer!

My partner is polish and I've seen the flats in poland in gdansk... they are hardly anything to live for. One flat had a living/bedroom, a small box kitchen (really small) and an opposite bathroom (same size as kitchen)

Old, Communist style apartments are not going to knock you off your feet with their beauty but many of them are perfectly functionable and comparable to 1 bed flats over here.

New build apartments in Poland are totally different and would make very attractive places to live.

Here's a link to a new development being built in Gdynia (just a few mins away from Gdansk).

I see the OP has dropped the price by £10,000.
