Shipping to unconfirmed address.

Hi Peeps - Can anyone tell me if I ship to an unconfirmed address in Germany - and get signed for Airsure - if the buyer says they didn't receive item are Paypal likely to refund?

Also can Paypal just take money out of your bank account for the refund?
Thanks;)

doesnt matter if you send it by a signed service
its unconfirmed so you lose all seller protection
bank transfer is better or accept you may need to lodge a postal claim

Even if I send them proof of delivery - they will still refund the buyer?

On the thread 'helpful hints' there is a checklist for accepting paypal, if you refer to that you can't go wrong. If selling overseas and outside the US you won't get any confirmed addresses so will either have to state prominently that overseas buyers can't use paypal, or restrict your sales to the UK and US (and some parts of Canada). Personally I don't bother, I sell throughout Europe but only items up to £36 and send standard airmail and keep a COP in case of loss.

Even if you don't take paypal and the item fails to arrive buyer can now do a non performing seller complaint and that counts towards your overall performance on ebay records, start getting complaints coupled with poor stars and feedback and you run the risk of suspension. Whilst people still continue to treat paypal and non paypal users differently I think ebay has a very strong case on insisting on paypal only. I don't care how my buyers pay, if they don't get their item I refund them.

As I would hope most decent people would. However what I do object to is they buyers would get the item AND a refund.

Think I'm more worried that it's a £100 item and if they say it doesn't turn up they can get a paypal refund even though I have proof of delivery. I always get proof of posting/special delivery depending on value of the item as there are some dodgy people about.

For a £100 item you'll need to send it tracked and signed for regardless of payment method anyway as you wouldn't be covered against loss without the correct tracking.
