Well done Lady E, glad you got your reduction from NTL
Today I am feeling quite proud as I managed to resist nipping off to Lidl yesterday morning for the sub £20 dvd player. I certainly don't need another dvd player but you are right when you read about the bargains its almost rude not to go for it
When I first started reading MSE I did exactly the same thing, at that time it was £10 off a £30 spend at John Lewis before Christmas. First thing I bought was in fact something off my daughter's Christmas list but sadly I went on and bought things that weren't actually needed.
However, I did go on to read more of the "serious" boards and drastically reduced my telephony bills, opened an ING account and when approached in a shopping centre about taking out a Barclaycard with 0% interest on the lifetime of a balance transfer I couldn't sign up quick enough purely because I had read about it here
Earlier this year Martin posted about Capital One cc with 18 month interest free on balance transfers and said BE QUICK, boy was I quick and got it
So my moral to this story is read ALL the boards, not just the shopping boards0 -
Yes Edinburghlass I agree. Have just saved myself nearly £100 on my car insurance .travelover0

Hi everyone, My husband is beginning to think I have a serious problem as I can't pass a Boots store and when we're in Glasgow city centre there are 3 big stores to shop in. The real problem I have is when they give you 100 points if you buy something @ 99p , I feel I can't say no, but the stuff I buy does come in handy and makes me popular with friends and family with all the wee gifts I pass round. My latest obssession is the intuition razors with the £3 discount stickers. I have been buying them recently in Morrisons (although they are in Boots again) I use the £3 discount voucher towards the £5.99 razor and this brings the price down to £2.99 but with the £3 discount voucher attached, you in effect are getting the razor free. I will keep buying them up until there are no more vouchers (incidentally Asda and Tesco take them off a shop )0
