the complete set seems the better deal as it comes with twin LNB, and a satellite finder to help you point the dish in the right direction0 -

I won't go into it too much here but the predecessor for this box (the SL55) was easily patched to recieve some of the aforementioned football and naughty stuff! http://comag.exthus.co.uk has some discussion on both this and the older box, and what you can do with it (takes some understanding though). Dreambox sounds a lot nicer - but a LOT more expensive0

cheap if you can get it for that price, but it wont be not good for anything else but (sky) astra 28. degs east as its too small (45cm) and wont pick up hotbird/Astra 19.2 east.
the min size dish you can use is 60cm and even still depends where abouts you are in the country, sout east should be ok, im hr from london and pick up all chns no bother with my 60cm.0 -

I know it's more expensive, but in my view far prettier on the side of a house.I think.
As you say the lidl one would make an ideal spare.sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0 -
Why is it £10 more expensive in Northern Ireland ...... or does anyone really care?

yeah that one would do for astra/hotbird, but as said depending where you are in the country and you have a clear line of site, eg no trees in the way etc.0 -
Trying to find a digital signal where we live is very difficult, Would this help me to line up my aerial? http://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20050901.p.Satellite_Finder_
PeterI'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
