Beware Carphone Warehouse online

I bought a phone from Carphone Warehouse online and sent the old phone back for a £10 refund under their 'promise note scheme'. Four weeks on, I still haven't received the money owed. Apparently, they're not too bothered about when they send cheques. You pay money to send it back first class, so in the end, having chased them up, I've already lost that money.

It's not worth it. If you want a good deal, go to a shop where they will deduct the amount when you pay. Only then do you get the benefits.

But at least buying online, you can get £5 Quidco, which you would not get by buying instore.

I will never buy from carphone ware house again.
I had too much bother when i up graded my mobile, their customer services told me i could go in store to change my phone. i went in and was told no they could not.

Now i am trying to cancel my contract. I have phoned 3 times, each time told diff dates to call up to cancel it. Now i just called up told me to write a letter to blah blah to give my 30 day notice. !!!!!!!!! Can they not do this stuff over the phone nowadays??? Or are they too lazy! I am very !!!!ed off.

They are a bit slow with their trade-ins but I received an email the other day (probably about 4 weeks after sending them in) saying they'd recieved it and cheque on way...

CPW are a good company in my eyes :j

Maybe you're going blind then! They were half-good - and are almost the only game in town - but watch them like a hawk and cover your a**s.
