Internet Explorer stops working

Could anyone tell me why randomly my internet explorer just stops working. It reinstalls but I lose everything I had been working on.

Thankyou. I tried this had one update but immediately I went in explorer and signed on to my email the message 'internet explorer not working' came up again. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
