  • Afternoon all :)

    OH is away Mon-Thurs next week so me and DD will just be having simple meals - so much easier and cheaper when hes away bless him!!! Some meals from last week didn't happen as we ate out on our way back from Glasgow on Wed and Thurs we had bacon, eggs and beans etc, so will fit them in as and when as i'd already bought the stuff

    Sat - Leftover bolognese and jacket taties
    Sun - Sausage casserole, mash and broccoli
    Mon - Cheesy potato bake, broccoli
    Tues - Chickpea curry for me, korma for DD and rice
    Wed - Pasta bake
    Thurs - Jacket taties/something on toast
    Fri - Sweet and sour chicken, rice, mini spring rolls

    Hi all, this week we're having:

    Monday - spaghetti, Alex Mackays Ragu and cheese
    Tuesday - fried chicken, salad, new potatoes and coleslaw
    Wednesday - [strike]cowboy chicken and rice[/strike] shepherds pie and broccoli (using lamb from Sunday's roast)
    Thursday - mini meatballs in tomato sauce, mashed potato, green beans or broccoli
    Friday - macaroni cheese and green salad
    Saturday - lunch out
    Sunday - roast

    Sun 13th: Garlic and thyme roast chicken with all the trimmings
    Mon 14th: Chicken curry and rice
    Tues 15th: HM burgers (for Hubby), HM salmon fishfingers (for kids) both with parsnip and butternut squash wedges
    Wed 16th:HM chicken kievs, mashed potatoes and sweetcorn
    Thurs 17th: sausages and cauli cheese
    Fri 18th: kids having salmon and prawn pasta bake, Hubby having burgers and HM wedges.

    Sunday at Dads for dinner:T
    Monday kids Roast duck, veg ,roast pots, yorkshire pud. Me same no duck
    Tuesday Kids HM meatballs tom sauce and rice. Me same veggie 'balls'
    Wednesday All sausage casserole pasta (veggie sausages)
    Thursday All Egg HM wedges beans
    Friday All HM pizza salad HM garlic bread
    Saturday Kids pork stir fry with blackbean sauce and noodles Me veg stir fry

    Lunches sandwiches/toasties easy as kids on holiday!!

    today - saus & lentil casserole (sc) and hm bread
    monday - beans on toast (oh working late)
    tuesday - mince and jkt spuds
    wednesday - bacon and veg pasta
    thursday - veggie curry and hm naan (if i find a recipe)
    friday - corned beef hash
    saturday - toad in the hole

    lunches will be mainly soup or sandwiches in hm bread

    Righteo, here goes (for the next few days) - am trying lots of new things this week as the menu list feels a little stale. So a mixture of favourites and new bits to try:

    - home made chilli with spagetti
    - spagetti carbona (using a recipe found on the £5 jamie oliver recipe thread)
    - corned beef casserole (as above)
    - chorizo pasta (as above!)
    - meat and mash and beans (couldn't get fave sausages so ham it tis)
    :) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

    Sun: roast pork, caramelised apples, roast potatoes & parsnips, carrots
    Mon: special fried rice using pork & prawns
    Tues: sausage, mash, onion gravy & peas
    Wed: meatballs in tomato sauce (from freezer), spaghetti, salad
    Thurs: chicken legs roasted with tomatoes & courgettes, couscous
    Fri: spicy smoked haddock chowder & naan bread

    As I have just noticed this today I will do my meals from today till Thursday!.

    Mon-HM lentil soup, HM bread.

    Tues - burger buns and potato wedges.

    weds - chicken veggie pie roast pots.

    thur - spag bol and garlic bread.

    Not very exciting and not much on the lines of veggies but I am using all the bits up in the freezer etc and plus its hubbts wages next friday i am trying to buy little or nothing till then.
