Just Completed! House Mine All Mine!!!!

I am so excited I just had to share my good news - just got a call to say my house has completed and I am now a proud Homeowner!!!

It has only taken a few weeks so I have been on a real whirlwind!

Ohhhhhhh - so so so so pleased!!!

Now just need to call the gas, electric and water people and organise the accounts to be in my name and then I have a fully functional (albeit needs a lot of work) home of my own!

YYYYIIIIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Congratulations. The feeling is out of this world...particularly for the first house when you know that you're not shelling out lots of £s on rent any more.

Sorry to be a party pooper but the house is the banks. Miss a few payments and they will have it back

    congratulations
    :T

ignore the party poopers, today is your day and it is yours all yours. crack open the bubbly, lie back on the floor, stare at the uneven ceilings, dodgy decor, etc and start dreaming.

then get quotes and come back down to earth with a bang :rotfl:

    Good for you.

I'm not a homeowner so I'm rather baffled by this elation personally.

Are you female? Is it a nesting instinct? Please explain.

To me all you've done is signed up to 25 years of bank payments and trips to the local B&Q.

    I really don't get it...

But then if I did "get it" I guess I'd have bought by now.

Seems to me like overcompensation for you having paid a shedload of cash for something that, 5 years ago would have cost you half as much.

But well done anyway.... I think.

I bought a doughnut today. Wahoooooo!!! Now everyone please congratulate me.

I have signed up to 25 years of bank payments, but that's far better than watching my land lady go on holiday to Kenya to draw and paint for a few months every year. Also my Grandad gave me some money to put towards a house, so when he is gone there will be something left.

    Well done hon! Congratulations!!! :j :j :j

Ignore the partypoopers! They are just jealous and bitter as they can neither afford to buy their own house or are too mean to, seems to me they prefer wasting money giving it to a landlord to line their pockets! They will pay rent FOREVER if they never buy, your mortgage will be PAID OFF in 25 years and you will OWN your house outright. Jealousy is a bitter pill to swallow for some people it seems ;)

I take entry of my new country cottage 3 weeks yesterday (14th Sept) I am so excited too!

Enjoy your new home, hope you are very happy there :p

    Ember xx
