Unlock Virgin and switch to O2?
Hi, on the freebies board there was a post saying that you can switch to O2 for free and keep your existing mobile number, meaning that I could use the 300 free texts but keep my number. I have a Sony Ericsson K500i on Virgin PAYG and it is locked on this network. How can I get it unlocked and is this free/quick? Then do I simply contact O2?
Thank you.
Thank you.

If you have topped up more then £30 since you have had your phone with virgin they will unlock it for free, contact that from their website via email, explain you want to get you phone unlocked, they will need to know make model phone number etc, they say it takes up to 30 days but ive had a code within 2 days.
Not sure about moving numbers, i beleive you need to ask virign for a pac code, and then tell o2 this to get it put onto a payg sim (virgin may charge for this)0
