Goldfish or hamster?

Dear Faerie, I'm new here and have little experience of pet ownership, not even Waspeze's piece of carpet, but cannot recommend HA tenancies strongly enough for security and fairness. I wish we had never given ours up. Chances are that when you and your daughter move in you'll find that several tenants are quietly keeping pets. My last HA flat, an old lady downstairs had 3 cats who had found their way to her. With cats I think it's an "if you build it, they will come" situation.
