can i ask a question? i've just ordered some stuff from boots, some on 3 for 2, and i got bonus points. i've only ben counting food shopping as pin money, so would you add in the free item on 3 for 2, or the points, or both or neither? i'm a bit flummoxed really.

Anyway you like :) Decide for yourself what you'd like to include as Pin Money and then, though again there are no hard and fast rules, just keep to it each time you shop...

..personally I'd be happy to go for both but it really is your choice as to what you feel comfortable with :)

I count all BOGOFs as Pin money, whether it's groceries or other items. It's all savings. I don't count points until I actually spend them.
  • PIN money from Tesco shop today is £3.38. September's grand total therefore £54.04!

October's target (still virtual though!) is £50:D

I use all the free points I can at Tesco, but do not count them as pin money as they go towards my shopping for Christmas......

I have just made £75 selling a nealy new BBQ and £25 selling an unwanted sky box, thats pin money to go against the cost of the gates we had made for the back garden so we can store our caravan at the house, saving me £200 a year.

Arranged with a friend to take 8 slabs which she had taken up from her back garden which will complete the run in. Now have to repay the £235 it cost me to have the pavement run in done by the council.........

I am up to £16.99 now:T although I have already used £10 for my neice's birthday present and £3.99 is virtual as I couldn't afford to put that much to one side this week. So I still have £3 in hard cash. It can become quite addictive this pin money lark:D
