Hi Sea, glad you are "ok" but sorry to hear that things are generally up and down.

From the sounds of things you have a lot going on. All I can do to help is to send virtual hugs, and to remind you that we are all here when you feel the need for support of whatever type xx

HI Sea, good to hear from you, and sorry to hear you have reached this point with your OH. Clearly you have 'issues' but they are not just your issues. I hope he sees how many issues he has too.

From things you've posted in the past it seems he's quick to lay problems at your door but don't let him do that. You are a wonderful strong woman, a loving mother, a great friend. I know it sounds cheesy to say that to a stranger but your good qualities shine out from your posts.

    thanks all :)

Feeling a little more positive at the moment. OH is making a real effort - I think just hearing from someone else that, yes, we do have problems has helped. Also that I have tried to be more open instead of so withdrawn etc. I'm scared, been here before thinking things will improve, but am quietly positive.

Gonna log off comp tonight and we're having a takeaway ( well, £5 indian meal deal from Asda with 2 free beers) so will try to make an effort :) Things like tidying up etc!!!

Money wise - things are tight, but still ok - OH still has a little money for food this weekend so that's good.

    HI all

Looking forward to a lovely day today - DD's summer fayre - she's soooo excited and OH is coming too which has made her even more excited :) OH also said he's saved some money for it (probably about £5) which is nice as then Soph can have a go on the games and stuff.
Had a nice night last night - little strange, but all steps in the right direction I hope.

Been clearing the house a little - got bags and bags for the charity shop and also meeting up with chocaholic tomorrow in Blackpool :D and have sooooo many little boys clothes for her :D Great to be able to have a clear out and know that the things are going to be useful to someone else - I always wonder if the charity shops are able to sell what i donate!!!

Been restrained with buying - saw some absolute bargains for scrapping, but restrained myself - not bargains if I can't afford them!! Will HAVE to sell on ebay if I want to buy stuff.

Feel so much better now the exam marking has finished - didn't realise to the extent it was hanging over my head! Worth it for the money though - no idea what I'll get paid however, lost the letter months ago and did extras anyway. Hopefully enough to get the carpet, and it'd be lovely to have a little extra for a weekend in a YHA or something similar with the kids this summer. Even just enough to get us out camping would be fabby :)

Hope everyone has a lovely saturday

Have fun at the fete Sea!

My OH has been marking too - it's taken up the whole month and he's only being paid for ten hours! Really stressing him out too. Hope you are very well paid for yours.

    thanks :)

I get paid per item when doing extra marking - but not sure how much!! :) I got an allocation and got a set amount for that - again not sure how much, but as I'm on the comp so much, it made sense to do it as it was all online. It's going to really help this year as it's one way I can get extra money as we can't do overtime etc.

Sea, you sound like you are having a good couple of days. And well done on curbing the spending!

I hope the marking money comes in soon for you and that it is enough to do something useful with.....and maybe even to have a treat too?
