Well only 1 lost connection and put through to 2 people this time to be told that Sky charge a connection fee for all calls to mobiles answered or not! at 18p a time this is a bit much. Does anybody know if I preprogrammed 18185 then the mobile numbers I would be charged.

Can everyone else tell me who their landline providers are that don't charge them as sky and me can part company in august!

If you still had line rental with BT, see HERE.

    But you don't.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Yes Heinz I saw that post earlier in the thread, but i wondered if anyone else had any more info as the consensus of opinion on here is that I shouldn't have been charged in the first place.

Don't get me wrong, that's my position too - but you appear to have met the 'jobsworth' (non)response.
