Connecting to sky on the 16th

My activation date is on the 16th April, I intend to just remove phone line and ethernet cable from bt router and plug them on sky router and use the existing micro filters as well, just switched bt router to sky. It will be easier for me if I do not have to unplug & plug the ethernet at the back of the computer being an oldie.I am a newbie and will not use the cd if possible. Can I do it this way or do I need to use sky parts.!! Was a bit reluctant to switch from bt to sky and I am hoping it will be trouble free.Thanks

Yes that should be fine as the cables should be identical even if they are a different colour etc. When your BT stops working, swap the router.
