Anyone know about calling a mobile abroad?

I need to call my parents who are in Egypt at the moment and I have tried dialling their mobile number as normal but it doesn't work.
I also tried adding 0020 which is the dialling code for egpt, but still no joy.
I know their mobile works there as they have called me several times
Am I doing something wrong?
(hoping, as ever, having access to thousands of mse'rs will lead to me answering a difficult problem)

You just dial their number as normal.

If it doesn't work then the phone is either off, has no signal, or a flat battery.

    ah okay..
Strange if that is the case, as the reason I need to get in touch is because they have called me at least 30 times today, and all I could hear was background noise and them talking..i.e they didn't mean to call
Not sure why it is happening, but the constant ringing is driving me crazy..and no doubt their phone bill will suffer!

Their bill will suffer, it's easy to dial by mistake and stay connected, but to keep dialing seems a bit strange.

Nothing you can do if that is the case, just wait for them the realise and next time they call you, just remind them to put the keylock on.

I don't call mine anything, I don't think they need names and anyway you only keep them for a year generally so I wouldn't want to get too attached to it. :rotfl:
