smart-clip unlocking moto e1000

Hi there,
I need some help unlocking the E1000. I have got the new smart clip with the blue button (not with the red) and I have followed this in order to unlock the E1000:

Operation instructionPower on the Smart-Clip and E/G indicator will light green.
Power on the phone without SIM card and flash card (if present).
Connect phone to Smart-Clip and press the "Unlock" button ( red on older clips ).
E/G indicator will light green and go off, the phone will switch off (some models will automatically turn on then).
E/G will light green on success or red on error
Successful unlock resets User Code to 1234, Security Code to 000000

Pinout Motorola P2K (standard + forced boot)

I have done it but by the end the E/G led keeps coming up as red!I have unlocked quite a lot motorolas (mainly a1000 and a920) with the clip it works great apart from today. .If anyone unlocks phones with the smart clip could you kindly help me!!

I have the smart clip but not come across that phone yet. Always worth giving the contacts on the phone a qwick brush over with a toothbrush or something to make sure they are clean.
