ISP for Playgroup? (cross posted on Charity forum)

Hi,

I work for our local Playgroup and we recently updated our PC thru' a company recommended here and would now like to get internet access for it. Currently I have to maintain our website and do any emailing, online ordering etc at home. We will have to pay for an additional phone line installation and rental (rented premises and landlord won't let us use existing line!), so want to keep other costs to a minimum. We have broadband locally, but are happy to stick with dial-up to reduce the expense. We did contemplate a PAYG account, but this has a habit of mounting up and as a charity we need to have a regular budget.

Please can anyone recommend or suggest any ISP's who give good deals to charity groups? I have looked thru' the posting about software for charities, but there are so many listed it would take me hours to contact them all!

Any and all advice appreciated.
Thanks, L

Have look at the list of daytime dial up suppliers in this thread here

Sounds like they would suit for the access you require icon7.gif

i am sure zazizam will let you use their basic or basic extra package - which cost £7 and £8.50, for 60, and 100hrs access each month - but if you will hardly be using it - i would recommend their basic 60hr account. I have previously used their dialup service, and have found it quite good, and I also have some non-broadband friends/relatives that use it also - and they have no complaints there either.

You are able to use the connection anytime of day - so you are not just restricted to when you can get online.

Hope this is of some use

I assume that you would only need the connection weekdays? If so Tiscali do a daytime package 8am-6pm Mon-Fri for only £4.99 per month, and there are no limits on usage within these hours.

I used this package, and subsequently their daytime 7 day dialup package (£7.99), for years before upgrading to broadband with another isp.

Despite all of the problems reported with Tiscali broadband, I had no problems whatsoever using their dialup.
