Apologies BC.
I must have misunderstood this also posted at the top:
Remember, this is an open forum!
I will however bow to your full time posting position as I have not been here as long as you and "butt out"0 -
Why not just volunteer to work for CAB?
I am nnoyed at what people do despite the advice given to them free of charge. I feel like tearing my hair out probably the same as you do as well when this happens ?ONLY COPY WHAT I AM DOING IF YOU ARE 100% SURE AND YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE END RESULT MAY BE. Hi Sue - I have just read your thread - in fact I have read it TWICE as your story typifies the behaviour of this odious bunch of thugs.
Even though it is 'over' I would still reccomend that you write to Trading Standards as LOWELL broke 'every rule in the book'.
Your story highlights the depths to which scum like LOWELL will stoop in order to make a tidy profit out of the misfortune of others.
If I was not already aware of their behaviour, I would find it hard to believe - even now, I am lost for words to describe how angry it makes me feel.
I hope things are better for you now.
Hi, thanks for that....yes things are loads better now (virtually debt free) but it was a struggle for a while. Ok getting the Provi and Greenwood loans may not have been the brightest idea as their APR is so high but it got us out of the whole at the time and allowed us to function.
One thing is for sure... I will never get a mortgage ever again! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Absolutely no need to do that, brown stuff - your contribution to this, and, indeed, any other thread is not only welcome, but should be encouraged.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. You are, indeed, to be congratulated, Sue. Not only have you survived the pressures of the dreaded 'Lowell', but have managed to deal with the astronomical interest that Greenwood and the 'Provi' get away with.
You are stronger than me.
Now look forward to your 'debt-free' future with pride.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Then don't bite, BC. Answer any criticism in a reasonable and impersonable manner.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

BC,
Can I clear something up.
I have no "personal crusade" against you and do not put this on "all" your posts.
As the majority of your posts have been on DFW and BR boards, both of which I have posted on , and read, I have read them, along with other numerous posts by other users.
If I see spam I report it, to help the other users.
I adopt the same principle when you, and apologies if I am mistaken, use this site as a vehicle to tout for business on a fee charging basis, and imply that the charities/organisations will not be as productive as yourself.
Your signature also baffles me....

Why would someone pay you for a service when by your own admission you have no legal training, and furthermore you advise consulting a "professional" before taking your advice. As you have painted yourself better than the CAB etc which professional are you referring toor are you asking people to pay you a fee, then go to someone for free advice
Also thanks should not be asked for but given freely, I have yet to see another signature that asks for thanks.
I have no doubt that you are extremely knowledgeable in these areas, and I assure you I don't want to start falling out with people on this board, it has become a lifeline for me of late, but why not do like ROG2 suggests and put your knowledge to use working for one of the charities.
ImmorralangelUk has a brilliant diary where she is doing just this, makes good reading.
Apologies again if I offended you but I am just thinking of other users, who as you agree, should take professional advice0
