I think there was more to the other thread than the OP was letting on. It is very rarely that they prosecute, and usually only happens in cases where there have been large overpayments, and/ or the claimant does not cooperate with the investigation. It is still an option though, I agree x
I didn't know that. Thanks0 -
It's best to be honest when dealing with the DWP. There's a lot of cross referencing that they can do to find out about different claims, hidden bank accounts and financial products. Did they tell you how they found out about your bond?" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

they said i was paid interest.
i mean i have calculated how much i have got to pay back thats got to count for something?0 -
Your calculation won't count for anything I'm afraid, they'll do their own.
Did you admit to things at the interview? and accept that you'll have to pay it back? If you did, it's highly unlikely they'll prosecute.
In fact did they caution you at the interview? (like on the Bill: "You do not have to say anything, however it may harm....") If not, then they are not looking at prosecution.
In my experience they will not prosecute for such a small amount, they may offer a caution or an admin penalty (30% on top of the overpayment).0 -
no it was a woman at the local job centre, we filled in a statement to send off somewhere. i was not cautioned.0

No there wasn't more to the other thread then the OP was letting on. Good job that everyone isn't as judgmental as you isn't it.0 -

I was not judging you MissHobit, just stating the facts about when the DWP are more likely to prosecute.
If you check your previous post, you will find that I gave helpful advice.Gone ... or have I?0 -
'I think there was more to the other thread than the OP was letting on'.
There wasn't anything else, nothing had been hidden, help and advice was asked for therefore information was given.0
