can't get my pc monitor back

Hi
not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes
my pc monitor packed up 12 weeks ago and was still under warranty. It was sent off for repair and would be back in 2 weeks. After many phone calls to the company ( in Germany ) I am told each time it will be delivered (next week ) but it never arrives. Any advice on what to do next as I have lost faith in their promises.
PS they tell me they have sent me emails with delivery dates but I told them I have no monitor to read them

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the usual rule is that the vendor - the person you bought the item from - has the responsibility of dealing with any third parties.
You bought the monitor from your local Aldi store not some bloke in Germany so you take it back to your local Aldi. I would fill in a complaint form and email or post it to Aldi's head office explaining the situation and tell them you want it sorted NOW.0 -
did you give it to Aldi to send back or did you deal with the company yourself? If it's the latter you're stuffed frankly and at their mercy, always deal with the retailer not the manufacturer no matter what the retailer tells you.0

Like the supermarket provisions counter being like the local butcher, or the so called instore baker being able to make a decent dough. Nor would I assume that the girl at the checkout would understand my needs for travel needs, is probably why the 1,500 car is a lemon.
If you buy a cheap computer, that is what you buy.
Besides, I would expect a better service in the first year of use and if it had failed, I would expect a replacement very quickly.
But then again I would not go to the supermarket to have my eyes tested!0 -
Others here are quite right the legal contract is with the retailer and though you sent it direct to the manuf, this was on their instruction so does not circumvent their other responsibilities.
Contact aldi and say you can wait no longer, they have seven days to return/replace or you will hire another and will expect them to pay for that.
There are legal requirements to how they deal with these issues such as reasonable time limits etc so don't be fobbed off, be polite but persevere.click here to achieve nothing!0
