High First Water Bill?

in Water bills
Hi,
My Girlfriend and i recently moved into a new one bedroom flat in southwest london.
Our flat has a water meter, and a couple of days ago we recieved our first water services bill for 20th feb to 18 march (28 days)
The bill came up to £28 pounds, and as this is my first ever water bill, i dont know if this amount seems high or not.
My partner and I are very energy and environmentally conscious and I feel that this bill is quite high when reflecting on the amount of water that we use.
Does £28 sound reasonable for 28 days? Any help or advise that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The size of the property doesn't mater much if you are on a meter - it is the amount of water used.
The average person uses approx 60 cubic metres a year - so for 2 people 120 cu metres - 10 cu mtrs a month.
I assume you checked your meter reading when you moved in?
Have a look at what you have used on the bill. However check that both readings are actual readings not estimated readings.
I would have thought that £1 a day is a little on the high side for 2 people but not massively so.0
