    It will with a pound-shop travel adaptor. I presume the OP managed to plug the power supplies in, given that the problem is that they've blown up.

    Rights or wrongs aside, it wasn't sold to you, it was a free gift, and your friends was bought from a company abroad.

    Theres no way I could call customer services and not tell them that its an american console cos they ask for the serial number and they can tell by that.

    I wouldnt have got the contract if the free gift was going to have no guarantee so it was an inducement of the contract so is wrong.

    So any ideas what could be wrong with my DS?
