Three Offers

At the moment there are loads of offers when you connect to the 3 network - I have noticed that all the offers advertised (cashback etc) seem to expire on 31/08/2005. I wondered if people think that it is worth buying a phone before this deadline, or whether the offers will be as good in future???

Thanks!

From my experience with Dialaphone, the expiry date has got NOT any significance.

DAP always provides expire date as end of month, but at the end of month (say 30/08 or 31/08) they will update all offers with expiry date of end of next month (30/09).

I noticed a offer for o2-nokia 6230 @£4.99 for 12 months and was mentioned expiry date as 31/08. But it was changed within the 1st week to @4.99 for 8 months.

Similarly, in June a offer for three-Motorola C975 @£1.99 for 12 months was removed before the mentioned expiry date.

I assume, the offers are all available until stock last (or) a fixed number of orders.

I have heard on the grapevine that 3 are re-doing their offers and introducing new phones sometime very soon, so maybe 31/8 is the date, also noticed that dialaphone have stopped featuring 3 so heavely in their newspaper adverts, as my contract is up mid sept I was wondering whether to wait for the new offers, or jump in again on the current offers which are really good, like the nokia 6630 for 9 months free on 12 month contract, anybody got any info for sure, please share with us............

That Nokia 6630 is a fantastic deal. If you get it through E2Save and refer yourself if you are an existing customer then you get a new phone and 12 months contract for the equiv of £60 for the year if you cancel at the 12 month point.

If you buy their refurb 6630 then you get an extra month free making it £30 for the year on a 500min/100text contact - fantastic!

I agree Dialaphone are not as hot as they were on Three, at one stage they were doing the NEC 338 for £2.99 for 12 months on a 12 month contract.

Now the most you can get is £2.99 for 9 months, and £30 for the remaining months on a 12 month contract. That's an extra £81.03 or the equivalent of £9.75 a month for 12 months, an increase of 300%!

In fact in general there do not appear to have been so many good deals around in the last month as there were a couple of months ago.
  • At the moment I would go for a 6680 through e2save or cpwexpress - I would want them to use their price match guarantee to match the 6 months free offered by onestopphoneshop (don't fancy relying on them for cashback). This would be Talk & Text 600 on 12 month contract.

I know that the Nokia N70 is due to be released in September, so presumably the 6680 will drop in price, as it will no longer be the flagship Nokia phone.

I'm also considering a Motorola E1000 for my daughter - the best deal for this at the moment seems to be £8.99 per month on Talk & Text 600 - 12 month contract. Again, I'd look for a price match and go through e2save/cpwexpress, but presumably the price of this phone is going to drop soon too, as there are quite a few 3g phones slated for release in September...
