Abbey Cash ISA - new account via online application

I hadn't read enough of the earlier posts on this and went into the branch. They gave me a form to fill in (dated Jan 08) to allow transfer from old Abbey ISAs to a new one.
I should have looked harder online:

Click on see our interest rates, the on the left is a 'transferring in any cash ISAs' link. There's a transfer form link within Step 1 for external ISAs, or a Next Steps transfer form fro Abbey to Abbey transfers.
Alternatively, click here if it works:

This is a newer form dated March 08 with more boxes to allow part transfer. Hopefully saves someone else making another massive trip to a branch for the form.
That said, Michelle's solution of just phoning seems worth a try for me first.0 -

I hope whoever answers the phone knows as much as Michelle's contact did rather than the twerp who my husband spoke to. When we went online we couldn't find that link you've given and weren't told about it by the twerp.
I'm really cross now about the wasted time/money on our 120 mile round trip
We were thinking about transferring our Barclays Tax Beater from last year when the 12 months is up and the bonus is removed, now I wonder what the best way to do that is - don't think I can face another trip to the branch :rotfl:0 -

Thanks for all your comments. I had a feeling it was one of those options. I did see the form but wasn't sure if I still had to open a new one first (I'm actually trying to switch from their Easy ISA to their DIrect ISA).
Still, can't think why I just don't Abbey to make it nice and smooth though....Guess it's a case of plucking up the courage to do it and hoping for the best (never transferred before, and the rest of my family avoid any new account opening/transferring full stop!)
