Have you tried to log onto your amazon account in case they have managed to get into there?? I had my ebay account stolen a year ago and they had been in, changed a load of my details and changed my password on me. It might be worth checking (if you haven't already) that they didn't scam you using that route.

I hope that you manage to get it all sorted quickly.

i don't have an amazon account, never bought anything from them, although my ebay acc was compromised a few monthst ago, i only realised this when i tried to log on and couldnt and it wouldnt let me reset password as it was saying my security questions were wrong. when i contacted ebay they said they had noticed some accounts had been compromised and mine was one of them, they had changed my security questions to stop people from changing password but forgot to email to let me know what had happend, i have not reset my ebay acc since then and have not bought anything from ebay.
i burst into tears when the bloke from bank told me it could be up to 7 working days before my acc will be refunded but did say if i was worried that any of my direct debits may bounce due to this then to call them and they would authorise them to go through., i should be ok tho i 'm now switching between tears and rage! think i feel more vulnerable as oh not here

Poor you...Don't understand what possessses these people but it's amazing how many people with Amazon and e-bay accounts get defrauded...they must have easy systems to crack.
It's nice to know that you have a really good friend there and it would annoy me that someone probably isn't going to get prosecuted....

Don't worry am sure the bank will get to the bottom of this and then hopefully, they'll also track down the git who did it

Sorry to hear about this. Have you checked any other cards etc that you've got...also check your credit report if you can as mysterious things can happen - I had an account set up for me for some rugs which I knew nothing about after my card was cloned a couple of years ago...

Check your pc for trojans and keyloggers just in case

Check in hardware forum theres a sticky in there about this

will get a copy of my credit rating ( do this regualarly anyway) but can't at the mo as havent got my card to pay for it!!
the only other card i have is my credit card, hav checked this and it's fine, would notice this one straight away as theres nowt on it and i don't use it much

don't get a credit rating...just check your report for the bad stuff which can be free if you're on the 30 day trial...you need to give payment details to log in but just cancel within 30 days and you'll not have to pay...the details are on the MSE site...(if you know all this just ignore me!)

can't give any payment details at the moment tho as my card has nbeen cancelled, will defo do it when get new card tho
