Mobile phone wanted recording date of outgoing texts

Folks :-
The contract on my existing phone is due up shortly, so I would like a new contract and new phone. For all sorts of not very pleasant reasons I would like a phone that records the date and time of outgoing texts (i.e. the ones I send) rather than just incoming texts, as my previous phones have done. Is there a phone availabe that has this functionality?
Thanks
Kev

  • My Nokia 3100 certainly does this - keeps a rolling buffer of 50 or so messages - as does my Nokia 6021.

a contract with an itemised bill?

most newer Nokias store sent message date and times but given setting the date and time and deleting messages can all be done by whoever has the phone in their hand can't see how it can offer anything over an itemised bill

My motorola E550 has an outbox that saves the last 50.

  • Folks :-
    Thanks for the replies.

An itemised bill will tell me when a text is sent to a particular number, not the contents of that text.

I hope I've made myself clear - most phones will keep copies of texts, I've yet to encounter a phone that will keep the text and record with that text when it was sent. Does the nokia record that info (I know a 6310i and 3410 don't) and similarly does the Motorola?

    Thanks again

Nokia 6630 and most new nokia phones have a sent item box in the messages menu....I know the 6630 keeps a log of all calls/texts/data sent received even if you delete text messages/received calls/made calls.

This info can be deleted, but you have to know where it's kept before you can delete it

I have a sagem myx7 it keeps all my texts I have sent in an outbox, seems to keep them for a while too.

It displays the date and I can read what I wrote in that text and who I sent it to. I think these days quite a lot of the new mobiles have this feature.
