How are we all doing this fine morning??

I have just finished my tax return and i'm due a rebate of £660 apparently. :j I don't think i will count this in the challenge tho because its money i have paid out last year not extra earned KWIM.

After playing bingo with a tenner i am so far £28 but only playing free games. Think i will withdraw £25 at the end of today and throw £15 into the pot when it is received.

HSBC have written to me, then need me to go into a branch with ID  nt too bad because they have opened one in the next town apparently. Its only 16 miles and has some nice shops so I think i might go there next week for a waddle about.

Does anyone know about setting up an online store??

I think it will depend on what you want from your site! What sort of thing are you hoping to sell? I've been sorta looking into this too but can't decide what I want to do... If its really basic kind of thing there are thinks like MrSite which I know a couple of people on here have talked about. You can have a site with paypal etc. There are loads others too but it depends on what you are aiming for and who you are aiming it at.

I'm hoping to do something with my jewellery but its really early days and I'm probably going to start off with an Etsy shop then [strike]bribe[/strike], [strike]beg[/strike] ask my wee brother to help as he does web designy type stuff tho not selling things. Its my birthday in a few months time so... :rotfl:

Lol thats pretty much my idea too. I make tiaras and bridal jewellery and at the moment a local wedding dress shop stocks some for me and has my cards I do make a little profit but it isn't enough to pay the bills. I think i will have alook at Mr Site. I had a go at ebay last year but didn't do too well.

Websites - claim a domain name and set up a basic business site FREE.

I found a link via mutualpoints (or similar) for Microsoft Office Live, signed up for free business user account and then started building my site. You can choose your own .co .uk domain name to go with it, also FREE.

I SHOULD be developing mine to incorporate links to my free listings on eBid, as I use their invoicing and payment processing for several different payment methods.

Building the site is only the start, getting people on it to buy is a whole different kettle of fish.

Okay, so two days in and not doing so well just yet.

I'm off work poorly and haven't had a lot of energy. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

    So far I have:
    • Signed up through Quidco to Gala bingo offer (net profit £10, tracking okay but shan't count it as mine 'til it's paid)
    • Found £22 in my Quidco account, changed my bank account and forgot to change my Quidco preferences (very nice, but this doesn't strictly count as I earned it before I started doing the challenge)
    • Done some of the other 'no purchase required' Quidco earners. Shocked to find that credit rating is so bad that HSBC won't even give me a savings account  though this might also be because I got £700 bank charges back off 'em last year and also threatened to sue them. I'm hoping it's the latter.
    • Played lots of free bingo games today (checking what's available on advance buy every time I walk pass the PC, have to say it hasn't exactly been time consuming, but it hasn't made me any profit yet, so....)
    • Idly looked round various rooms wondering how much certain possessions might fetch on ebay and whether I'd prefer the money
    • Pondered starting an online or offline business, though lack of any descernible skill that people might like to pay me for is proving something of a stumbling block so far
    • Played the texperts quiz, even though I'm already on the possibly endless, possibly non-existent 'waiting list'.
BUT it's early days yet. I figure that if I aim for £25 average per month I can beat my target :D and once I'm feeling better I'm going to go all out to thrash it!
