ITV1’s Tonight with Trevor McDonald is making a programme about Property Development, and is looking for people to take part.
These are the details they sent:
Have you developed with the intention of adding value to your property? This could be from scratch after buying a derelict house, or maybe you’ve added an extension or some other home improvement. Has the recent slow down in the market meant you’ve lost out financially – or even gone bankrupt? Perhaps you’re trying to sell now, but know that you’re likely to make a loss? If you’re interested in taking part in the programme, then please contact me on 084488 16453 / 07786 547227 or toby.strutt@itv.com

Aren't you going to insist on retaining your image rights, subjecttocontract? You'll need to ensure the integrity of the subjecttocontract™ brand.
It will also make you a packet when you come to launch your own range of merchandising.
You and Doozergirl could be a great duo on the telly.
MSE's answer to Phil and Krusty - I can see it now.

Good afternoon: Not a chance:eek: Left behind being the subject of public ridicule/whipping girl for society's ills when I ditched secondary school teaching...I like the quiet life.;)

I think this may signal the end of 'Location, Location, Location' type programmes, and a sudden new trend in 'Repossession, Repossession, Repossession' ones instead. :rolleyes:0

Do Lego houses count? :think:0

Funny, we have done a development and even with a shift in house prices we have still made £100k profit, we have only had to reduce the price by £10k. I think the programme should be saying well done to those who have taken the risk and I dont think there are a lot of people who seem to have lost out on their profit. Prices in our area havent dropped that much yet.
At least those that have tried it can say they tried to help themselves and gave it shot.
And if people in other areas are losing out then maybe TV should be too blame, for sometimes making it look all too easy ( its alot of hard work, long nights, and no time to yourself.)MAY NSD's

We were quite lucky that we were able to buy my grandparents house off the rest of the fanily for £20k less than the market value at the time. Plus the price increase helped us probably about £10 - 20k. The rest was bloody hard work.
Its a three storey house which was dated looking but had good electrics.
Changed the boiler to a combi which made the walk in airing cupboard free, so made that into a second bathroom but with an adult theme (ie large shower etc.) Put in new bathroom suite in the main bathroom.
The 4 bedrooms were stripped back to plaster walls and repapered painted and carpeted.
Kitchen was ripped out, rearranged and new cupboards, flooring, ceiling with spot lights and moved a window in order to make double doors to look after rather large garden backing onto river.
Rest of rooms stripped back to bare wall, papered and decorated.
Outside of house painted, and garden in the process of being completed.
Not had a firm offer yet, but on for fixed price and have 4 families wanting it but it will be first to sell that will get it. They have all offered the fixed price.
Been really lucky as other half gave alot of the work a go himself ( and if it didnt work out we got someone in, however he has found out he can plaster etc.)
Now looking for another to do and aim is to be debt free and mortgage free in 5 years
Is much easier if you can live in the house whilst doing the work.MAY NSD's
