Been back to the vets, Have to get a urine sample.
Felt his bladder and it was empty even though he'd been in all day and this was 5pm, but could have peed somewhere.
Sold me some crystals and put in litter tray but cat not having any of it. My daughter saw it pee yesterday against the kitchen units and it was brown but couldn't get enough for a sample.
Today he sprayed against the opening of the litter tray(one with lid) so have now taken the lid off. Got to give it a week and then if i can't get one he will have to go in overnight.

Took a urine sample in and just got results.
Blood in urine and i think he said protein but more concerning there was some crystals so i'm off to the vets tomorrow for another course of anti - biotics and the vet has ordered me some special dry(cat will only eat) food in begins with a w can't remember the rest and will be on it or something similar for the rest of his life, either that or a change in his diet but as he won't eat wet food this will be best.

We use James Wellbeloved, also quite expensive, but FAR cheaper than regular vets bills, not to mention none of that pain and stress for the cat. Urine innfections--OOOOOOOOwwwww
    Anytime;)
  • For cats I think you want a Feliway diffuser, I've had plenty of people tell me they work. I was told to get them in my shop by one customer who said she saw it at her Vets and once the cat came out was really calm and relaxed lol Petmeds is excellent on price and check out Hotukdeals for any voucher code.
I think there are certain foods that might be able to help, James Wellbeloved (turkey is most popular) has cranberry extract which might help or Royal Canin do a lot of different foods and cover most things.
Help me to help you :santa2:

    Hi
Spraying and urinating (urinating in places other than the litter tray can often be due to urine infections/cystitis as cat can start to identify the l;itter tray with pain when urinating) are two different issues . If your cat is spraying it means he feels insecure and is marking his territory to feel safer. Behavourists recommend the Feliway diffuser as it makes the cat feel safer and makes them think their territory is already marked. Also you need to check whether there is anything else making him feel insecure, can other cats get in the house? Are they sitting outside and intimidating him? Does he have places to hide and be on his own in the house? Off the top of my head I can't remember whether neutering is supposed to help with spraying or not.

Are you using a solution of bio washing powder? That worked for us as the enzymes break things down, I think there are other, more specialized things you can use too, try googling the problem.

Problem is finding it, i clean up what i can find but i must have missed some in my bedroom and the back room. In the back room i have waxed pine furniture and it soaks everything in and i think he's peed against that.
I used the washing powder on my hall runner but in the end chucked it and bought a new one as it still smelt especially when the radiators went on.
