I use Bearshare.com....
Is it Legal ???
My team of experts are working on it right now !
Over my 40 year music buying period , I've paid out £1000's for the same titles on different formats ( LP / Cassette / CD ) and as I'm only replacing back catalogue stuff , I'll stick with Bearshare - I think the taxman & music industry have had their fair share out of me0 -
I used to use this..... they changed something 't work?and now it won't work?
any ideas anybody?
SpikeyUse your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -

In an attempt to get back on topic........
I have noticed that 24studio.co.uk have added a music download section to their sites and are currently selling singles at 50p per download. Not sure how long this promotion will last so if I were you I would be quick (normal price is 79p, I think)
Tip. If you are buying an album, check how many tracks there are, it may be cheaper to download the tracks singly.:cool:0 -
http://mp3weblibrary.com/
absolutely legal, quite cheap
hm, I don't have anything against Russian sites, not everyone is possible to pay full cost for every song. Also on another hand bands should also get their money...0 -
As a musician myself I recently spent some time trying to find out how to buy legit music (or access free downloads), but on a Mac and not with DRM! I know some of these sites don't perhaps offer the 'cheapest' music, but for my needs they are the most convenient when it comes to putting it on my computer & portable media player. Here are a few sites that I like...
For classical music:
http://www.chandos.net/
http://www.eclassical.com/
For other styles (mostly independent):
http://www.garageband.com/ (many free downloads)
http://magnatune.com/
http://www.zunior.com/
http://www.mindawn.com/
I've used Chandos and it's great, and I love Garageband for finding interesting new music. The others I'm yet to fully investigate. I think it's a great thing to support independent music, although I do occasionally buy from iTunes when I want something specific/mainstream. I haven't been able to find much else out there for Mac users who just want to buy individual mainstream tracks unfortunately.
Hope this is of help0 -
Can anyone recommend a good service for latin/jazz music? I have no interest whatsoever in chart music.0
