Warranty Mobile Phone Repairs
I bought an o2 contract in may 0 7.
i had a Fault with the new handset in august 07, as any body would, i sent it back to be repaired , 2 months later i got it back , they it wasnt a warranty repair, so i had to pay for it, fair enough i thought,
But after paying a fee of £65 they returned the handset in dec 07 , the handset had still not been repaired Despite me paying for the repairs,
i contacted o2 and they told me it wasnt their responibility because i took it to an o2 store.
i think this was wrong of them to take money for nothing
, especially as they were charging me for a phone tht i could not use, i asked them to replace the phone and they refused to do it, so they have now sent me a bill in excess £380 which i assume is the cancelation fee,
i didnt want to cancel the contract, i simply wanted my handset repaired. but they charged me for nothin which i believe is unlawful practise
i dont know how to go about sorting this out because when i call o2 i get the same old crap time after time
is there anyone on here who can help me sort this mess out before i get defaults against my name ,
a draft letter would be much appreciated as i am useless at this sort of thing
Thanks mark

Take it back to the store who you gave it to to get it fixed and demand it is sorted within 7 days or you want your money back. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

thanks for your reply ,
i have already took this action since i paid to repair it but they still keep returning it unrepaired ,
but i called them up threatening to take up legal advice and action they cut me off and slapped me with a big bill for a phone i cant use.
i need to find out if i can take legal action against them for failure to repair under guarantee or summin
i no expert but i am pretty sure tht it counts as a breach of contract on their behalf and i feel tht i should't have to foot the bill for this
pls help out thanks0
