Hi
I recently changed from Bulldog broadband to E7even broadband (512K) and my line was activated a few days ago BUT when I connect using my USB modem (Speedtouch USB 330 modem, no routers), it takes around 10 seconds to connect to the network, and when I try to open Internet Explorer immediately, my homepage only loads after about 20 seconds, whereas with my previous broadband supplier (Bulldog Broadband, 512K) I was connected to the network in 2-3 seconds and I could load up my homepage in internet explorer immediately. Is this normal? Also do i have to enter the E7 Static IP address and Subnet mask somewhere in my Internet Explorer settings?
Thanks in advance

I think you need to set this up in your network connections (from control panel).
Do you have the instructions from e7 and for your modem ?To infinity and beyond!0 -
thanks for your reply Mike. Well i just got a reply from E7even technical support and this is what they said:
"It can take a short time after a connection is made for all of the settings such as the gateway and DNS servers to be gained, so the 20 seconds delay after connecting is normal.
You do not need to enter your IP address or subnet mask anywhere, this is just for refernece, the modem will pick this address up automatically.
Kind Regards,
E7even Technical Support"
I would like to know if other E7 users experience this delay. Also does anyone have the gateway/DNS server no's which i can directly enter in Internet Explorer?
