Free bag of life in M&S

When they announced they were going to give away free bags before they started charging, it was to be those extra-sturdy plastic bags -- not nice cotton ones. Has anyone actually been in to M&S that can tell us which bags are given out?
Plastic ones
Mine hardly managed the journey home :rotfl:0 -
*dudududu* Santana music in background....
This is not just a life, it is a Marks and Spencer life!
*dududududu* music fades in background.....Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Got one today but remember if you go to the self service tills it still comes up at 10p and you need to get the supervisor to put it through on a proper till!0

M&S is just copying tesco's policy...realised they need to catch up on their plastic bag green credentials!:rolleyes:0

Not sure how true this is but I heard they are giving the bags of life out for free for the whole of April, then in May you will not get a bag unless you pay for it or unless you reuse your free bag of life!!Our dream has come true...0

I asked for my free bag for life at the till 2 days ago. The lady scanned it. When I got home I noticed I had been charged 10p for it. DO CHECK the receipt before you leave.
It is a bit cheeky to say the bags are free, without restrictions as far as I can see, and when you buy something and they scan it, they charge you for it.0 -
