Giving notice to cancel?

I am with Orange.
My contract ends on the 6th June but my bill is compiled on the 24th of each month.
When would i give my 30 days notice and would i be billed for half a month on the 24th June or 1.5months on 24th May?

Any replies are greatly appreciated.

If you want your contract to end on the earliest possible date, then ignore your bill dates, and give notice 30 days prior to your connection anniversary.

You will be billed a full month in advance on your bills as usual, then a final bill (issued after the contract has terminated) will correct any overpayment.

If this results in a credit balance it seems this credit gets refunded to you much quicker if you ring them and chase them for it!

    Thanks for your advice.
I was also wondering if they would let me lower my price plan for the last 2 months?
    Im on dolphin 25 75mins - 200txts @ £25, they have dolphin 25 75mins - 150txts @ £20 on their site.
You think i have a chance of getting the lower one?

EDIT: I called and they wouldnt let me.
