Northern Rock ISA's a safe bet?

All morning I've trawled the best buy tables and read the small print, and find that the NORTHERN ROCK 1 Year Fixed Rate ISA (Issue 63) suits my needs the best.
Are they a safe bet to invest with? My head tells me, probably yes, safer than ever after nationalisation, though I can't help feel a nagging doubt given the bad press they've had recently.
Some rational opinion would be gratefully received.
