Cheapest Data / GPRS Tariff

I have an unlocked Windows Mobile handset, which I would like to use mainly for data - e.g. emails, web access, etc. I very rarely make or receive calls, mainly using SMS instead.
Can anybody recommend the cheapest tariff for (mainly) mobile data?
I have looked at the PAYG tariffs:-
Orange PAYG
Three Flat12 probably looks like the best option, but are there any better contract deals? Can these 'mobile internet' deals with the USB modem be used in a handset - i.e. is the SIM removable and can it be voice/SMS enabled?

Three PAYG Flat12
30x days, 2GB @ £5 (12p/SMS, 12p/min)
Virgin PAYG

O2 also offer o2 web for £7.50/month out of your credit. (200mb limit i think but plenty for most mobile use)
Also makes you eligible for the £10/month topup for 300 free text, and £2.50 credit left over.
Most low cost tariffs dont allow use as a usb modem/with a laptop.0 -
orange payg also do a 7days for fiver
, thats what i use
on my p990 using a 3g sim i get about 1/3 meg connection so it's ideal for when i'm not home
I've not found a better payg data deal than that
also if i top up by 30 squid i get unlimited text & 600 same network minutes0
