    Hi Sar, could be flea bites. Have you ever wormed lewis or flead him? Have you sprayed the house with flea spray. It is so so important to do the house at least 3 monthly. Cause if you get fleas they can be difficult to get rid of. Fleas is not a sign of uncleanliness just and an unfotunate side effect of having pets especially cats and dogs. There is a whole larvae, flea worm cycle thing going on. You should be able to see flea poo (little black spots( on lewis' skin) around his neck or tail and ears. If you have you will have really go to town on the house, sofas, carpets, bedding, mattresses etc. Get him wormed and flead and make sure you do it regularly. It has probably been brought about by him being outside more. I hope its not fleas and hope its not something serious as well. They do look like bites though.
