  • If you issue a refund before the echeque has cleared it will take the money from you. The Echeque is basically the process of them taking money from his bank to pay you, hence why it takes so long and afaik you can't stop it once it's started.

Thanks IA, knew this thread would be infinitely more helpful. Apologies for hijacking though.

Looks like I will just have to wait...grrrrrrrrrrr

Can you get a GP/nurse/HV appt this morning? If it is chicken pox it is likely to be in more places by this PM, if it's still in one localised place then it mght be something else.

Trying to get an appt at our doctors is verging on expecting a miracle.. :rotfl: I'll keep an eye on it and call them if it gets worse.

I had chickenpox recently (don't laugh :p). It can start looking like that, but there are also a myriad of other things it could be. But this is the time of year it's most common.

As far as the time period over which it is infectious, the nhsdirect site says:
Chickenpox is most common in children who are between 2-8 years of age, although you can develop chickenpox at any age. You are infectious from about two days before the rash appears until roughly five days after. Therefore, you, or your child, should stay at home until all of the blisters have fully crusted over, and this usually happens 5-7 days after the first blister appears. After the last blister has burst and crusted over, you are no longer infectious.

Going off the subject of flea bites (do you have any pets IA- didn't think you did?) & chicken pox and back to a holiday. I'd really like to see you take one. It'll become harder (and more expensive:rolleyes: )once Ash goes to f-time school. If you definately can't afford one this year what about next before she starts reception. When will that be Sept 09?

Hey IA - Sophia's spots started out like that when she had chicken pox - took two days for them to get the watery blistery thing on the top and then just spread and spread. Def take her to the drs for med if she does as they should give something mroe effective than just calamine - which could help her sleep as Sophia would not!! :)
