OK... starting to think I may have had a bit of concussion after my whack on the head fri night..

Concussion is an injury to the brain that usually occurs following a blow or jolt to the head. In most instances, the person doesn't lose consciousness.
    Who's affected?

Anyone can suffer a concussion. Common causes include a head injury from a road traffic accident, fall, sports injury or assault.
People who fall often - because of difficulties with walking or balance, for example - and those involved in contact sports are most at risk.
    What are the symptoms?

The symptoms of concussion may include:
    • Headaches, which may be severe and persistent - Yep. All weekend.
    • Dizziness - Not really.
    • Nausea - Not that I remember anyway.
    • Vision disturbance - Does sensitivity to light count?
    • Poor balance - Yep.
    • Confusion - Yep.
    • Memory loss or difficulty remembering things - Yep!
    • Poor concentration - Yep!
    • Tiredness - Yes but being out til 3am wouldn't have helped.. lol
    • Irritability - That's me anyway :P
    • Anxiety - Nope.
    • Low mood - Not really.. just tired.
7 out of 12? Maybe I should've gone to the docs.. :rotfl:

Give NHSDirect a ring Sar - 08454647. If you go to A+E, they won't do much other than give you a leaflet on head injuries.

Don't see much point in going now and NHS direct will only tell me to go to A&E lol. If I haven't keeled over yet I'm sure that I'll be fine :rotfl:

they'd go through a checklist with you - probably the same thing. If you were being sick a lot and kept falling unconcious they'd tell you to go to A+E.

Other than that it would probably just be take paracetamols!!!

Excellent news on the computer grant :)

You can claim 50% of the cost in the first year (ie next year's return) and then another 25% the following year. (I'm doing the same using it solely for AQA ;) )

it's really straight forward for you and me as we work along similar lines self employment wise. You'll be filling in the Employment section and then the self employed section.

You'll need your P60 from Argos for the employed section - that has everything you need and then a total of your AS earnings up to 5 April and any expenses incurred in that period for the self employed bit.

Depending on what your tax code is, there's every chance you won't have anything to pay this year and even if you do (and it will be a tiny amount) you can ask for it to be deducted via your tax code with Argos next year so you don't need to pay anything immediately.

First thing to do though is register to return it online as they have to send you a code through the post to activate the account (if it still works the same as last year) When you do it online, it works it all out for you.

My wages went in today and need to figure out the finances in a bit. Ste's of out on saturday to Manchester to see his mate's band play. I've got a party on friday and looks like I might be going out after again. I'm going to a AS party on saturday which was originally mine but I've passed on to my new recruit for her first party.

NEW RECRUIT!!!!! Have I missed something? Fantastic! That should boost the coffers a bit then if you are a mummy or granny or whatever it is they call them at AS. Good news. And glad you are feeling a bit better. I know I was the one who said are you sure you aren't taking on too much but I wasn't being negative I was just worried about you. I am the exact same, I take on loads and then get run down and feel rubbish.

I won't get anything moneywise from the new recruit as I've not been promoted.
